DR STEPHEN WARD 

Dr Ward is a leading Consultant in Pain Medicine at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital, London and has over 20 years experience as a full time consultant pain specialist. He has led the pain management service at the Nuffield Hospital, Haywards Heath since 2000 and provides Consultant oversight to the Sussex Musculoskeletal Partnership pain service. 

Dr Ward treats patients with a wide variety of pain problems but his specialist interest is in spinal pain (back pain/neck pain/sciatica). He leads a specialist spinal surgery & pain clinic at St Thomas' Hospital and is the current Chair of the NICE National Guideline for the Management of Low Back Pain & Sciatica. 

He offers a thorough and comprehensive clinical evaluation and, where indicated, access to the latest imaging techniques and a range of cutting edge non surgical treatment options for patients with spinal pain.

Dr Ward is a Visiting Senior Lecture for the Twins UK back pain research group and Chair of the Scientific Programme Committee of the British Pain Society. He has lectured nationally and internationally on treatments for spinal pain.
